Color Perception
Tap the tile that looks different from the rest. You have 30 seconds.
Overview
The Color Perception Test measures your ability to discriminate subtle color differences. Find the tile with a slightly different color among a grid of tiles. As levels increase, color differences become smaller, challenging the limits of your cone cell sensitivity and color processing ability.
Rules
- Find and tap the tile with a different color in the grid
- Correct answers advance the level with increasingly subtle differences
- Mistakes add a 2-second penalty
- The time limit is 30 seconds, and the number of tiles found is your score

FAQ
Does my monitor affect the score?
Yes. Monitor color gamut, brightness, and contrast ratio significantly affect scores. IPS panels tend to have better color reproduction than TN panels. Proper brightness calibration is also important.
Will color vision deficiency lower my score?
Certain color vision characteristics may make discrimination difficult for specific hues. However, since this test uses various hues, you can still achieve high scores on hues you perceive well.
Can color perception be trained?
Yes. Artists and designers are known to improve color discrimination through training. Habitually paying attention to color differences in daily life enhances visual processing precision.
